Bought a new Z: goodbye to the org :(

Well guys and girls,
The time has come to move on. I will be taking delivery of a 04 chrome silver 350Z performance on Friday. Everybody on the org. has been very helpful to me over the past couple of years. I have the utmost respect for all of you and wish you the best of luck! By the way, I know that this thread is useless without pics so I will post pics of the new ride as soon as possible.
Best regards,
heems27

A lot of people should buy a 350, that way I wouldn't always get a buisy signal when logging on

j/k

Good to have you. I may get a 350 as a daily driver someday, but the max will always be the really fast car.

Congrats on the new car, they are very smooth.

Damn! Talk about weak sauce. This should be allowed to stay in whatever forum it was posted in for a week at a minimum.

I love everything about the 350Z......................BUT one thing bothers me...

IT's a 2-seater. They could've made the 2 extra little seats IMO! Not like they help cause how many times you fit someone in the back of say a Toyota Supra...so I know I know, but still.

...and like I already stated in my previous posts, this is the meanest, sickest, best-looking 350Z that I have EVER come accross - http://www.my350z.com/gallery/albur55/aac

heyy.. if you get exhaust for your Z.. i call dibs on the removable tip.. one of them anyway(since its dual). i wanna see if it it'll fit on the stock max muffler. i thinkt he stock z tip is like 3.5 inches.. nicer than tip on max.. we'll negotiate price later..

Yeah, you know what would be cool, is if a couple people, friends say, would do a "real life" daily comparison between the 350Z and a 330Ci/i. Not just for a day or two but a month or two, and then describe the pros/cons. I bet many of us will be facing a buy decision in 6-18 months. Car magazines still insist if you want driving experience nothing can touch a 3-Series in that price range. But until 2k5 those looks/interior are very blah. 350Z is dang nice in the showroom, and I just wish someone could definitively say the car mags were wrong or maybe subjective. Good luck on the purchase that is a sweet-looking ride.

umm... the two are in different categories. the 330 is entry level luxury and the 350z is a sports car. if you were comparing the 350 droptop to a z4, or an S2000, boxter, Audi TT or a non-AMG SLK-class, then yeah, they're at least somewhat close. The Z is on par or better with all of these and the only car that comes close to the Z's price is the S2000, which is still $4000 more in base for m than a base Z. you can't compare apples to oranges. the BMW 330 will have a much smoother ride and better interior treatment. as well as excellent resale value and the BMW name. The 350, on the other hand, is a 13 second car from the factory (well, 13.9). it's a true sports car and not meant to have a back seat, be super-practical or chauffer you around in style. It's built to haul *** and be damn affordable while doing it.

also, motor trend not only named the G35 their car of the year in 2002/2003, but they also said that it outdid the 3 series in every respect for far less money.
