When I'm driving at about 20 mph and I want to go faster, I have to push down the petal quite a bit, otherwise it only gets faster kinda slowly. So then when I put it to the floor, it takes about 1.5-2 seconds, and then car takes off. Whats up with this? Is something wrong with my transmission or is this normal? If there is something wrong, what can I do to fix it?

 

The car was probably in 3rd gear.. the maxima's auto tranny isn't the smartest. if you want faster response.. Move the shifter yourself.
