MY CAR SHOULD BE IN THE NEXT "GOT CHOCLATE MILK" COMMERCIAL! brake problems !

when i brake on freeway at speeds of 60+ mph, my car shakes EXTREMELY bad and i have noticed that this also happens in the streets but since im at slower speeds, its not really noticeable. but i do notice that my car doesnt stop good. it takes 3 or 4 times longer than my 96 altima to stop. i use ceramic brakes. last time i had my rotors resurfaced was on january 03. anyone have any ideas?

thx mates !

brakes sounds like the rotors are warped?? If the car is shaking, get an alignment / tire balancing.

if you car shakes when you are braking, its a brake problem, most likely is a warped rotor. If your car shakes just crusin, its wheel , tire or suspension problem. THe first thing to do is to balance your tires

If your steering wheel shakes, your wheel lug nuts might be loose. Also, most likely need alignment and new rotors. But check if your nuts are loose!

What would alignment have to do with vibration?? Bad alignment causes the car to pull to one side and/or requires you to hold the steering wheel turned for the car to go straight. Sounds like warped rotors/unbalanced tires. One thing to help to minimize rotor warp when slowing down from high speeds quickly is pressing down on the pedal decisively to help the rotor keep its shape as opposed to moderate pressure.
