Right headlight out yet HIGH beam works?

When i was driving home last night i realized that the right headlight was out. I switched on the high beams and they work but when i switch back to low beams the light goes out again? What gives? It isn't a bad bulb, right? Is it a fuse?

This is totally normal, the bulb has two separate filaments, one for high beam and one for low. the low beam usually blows out first (since it's the one you use most.)

The solution is that you need a whole new bulb. (Sorta stupid, but that's the way it goes.)

9004 are dual filament bulbs, it also happens to my bulbs in my brake lights, you just need a new bulb, no biggie

wipe them down with alcohol and don't touch them before you install them. The oils from the skin will decrease the life of the bulb
