Help on Cold Air Intake Installation 98 Maxima SE (where does this plug go?)
I am in the middle of my CAI installation, I have to move my car, so I connected my battery and the fuse boxes, I have power when I put my key in the ignition, but the car wont start. There is one left over wire, next to where the MAF used to be(I do not know where this wire plugs into), I have some pictures over here of the wire. If anybody knows what is wrong, please let me know. I wonder if I will have to complete the installation in order for it to start.
Thanks,
Sean

Well if its not the plug for the MAF then i think its the connector for the Intake Air Temperature sensor. Thats the only other thing over there. I doubt that would keep your car from starting. Sorry i cant be of more help.
On a side note, i dont think its wise to have the engine running with no filter on there. You never know what might get sucked back in there. My advice would be to put everythign back together and see if it starts. If not then you've might wanna recheck all the fuses and such.
Hope you getting working.

It is the temp sensor. Which your car should start..but DO NOT RUN IT W/O THE FILTER!!! Hmm.. Not much to say but I would first check the starter and make sure you didn't loosen any of those wires while you were "ripping out" your stock intake. Then check all the fuses and make sure they are all back together correctly. Push it down a hill until it works...maybe push the clutch in..lol( its happened before)

I can't understand how people get the intake piping out without manually disconnecting it in the first place, knowing what they took it off of.
It never makes sence!

Thanks alot,
It works now...by the way I would never drive my car w/out the air filter in there, its just the problem of starting it and driving it from my driveway into my garage. I was only going to move it a little difference w/out it.
Thanks,
Sean
