What guage wire to use for blinker rewire?

I'm doing the blinker rewire where the corner light alternates with the blinker. I have the wire taps, but I'm nto sure what guage wire to use. The search page is down, otherwise I'd put up a link to the site where the directions are. ANYWAYS, I need to know what guage wire to use. I believe that the tap goes on the positive of the side marker. If anyone knows the answer ot this, please reply!!! thank you.

You don't need anything major. Even 16 gauge will probably be enough. Also, I highly suggest not using wire taps. One, they often don't pierce the insulation well, and definetly do not protect the connection adequately from the environment. I suggest slicing through the insulation with a razor or wire strippers, pulling the insulation apart a bit, wrapping the new wire onto the exposed section, soldering, then heat shrinking. This is exactly what I did, and the proper way to make an electrical connection like this, that will face moisture and the environment due to its location.
