Headlight question, not about bulbs.

Ok, my car is acting weird lately. A few weeks ago, after installing some new back speakers, my front left leadlight started going out randomly. I know it's not the bulb being burnt out, because my headlight will come back on randomly. It's happened 3 times now, and I'm starting to become concerned. Does anyone have advice for what I should check for; loose connection, bad ground (if headlights have grounds) or maybe a blown fuse. Any help would be appreciated.

Check your harness for cuts or rips.

are you sure the bulb isn't bad? my interior light would go off once in a while and if i tapped it it would come back on, but eventually it didn't come one. guess the filament was broken and sometimes it would make a connection and sometimes it wouldn't. try switching your passenger side and driver's side bulbs. if it goes to the other side, it's the bulb, if not, you have another problem. if that is the case, it could be a damaged wire anywhere. an easy fix is to get one of those upgraded wiring harnesses. they take the signal from only one side (so you can use the passenger side, which seems to work fine) and relays to pull current directly from your battery. i got mine off of ebay for around 40 bucks.

check harness to see if there are cracks, check wires to see if they are cut up or really worn out. Cant see a reason why the rear speaker would affect your light, totally different things.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll go out and check my harness and see how things are doing. The speakers shouldn't have anything to do with them, it just happened at the same time. I was thinking I might of blown a fuse when I had my system up loud testing the speakers, but then I would think that the lights wouldn't work at all with a fuse blown.

I checked my harness and it looked fine. I said screw my old bulbs and went out and bought philips xtravision. I didn't want blue bulbs anymore, I like the way my new bulbs look and they actually match my side clearence bulbs and fogs, but the weird thing is that now these bulbs don't seen to be aimed right. My old bulbs were fine, but these are all weird, does anyone know a link on how to aim headlighs yourself?
