I sure am! I replaced mine with a set of strong arms for about a little over a year and it's starting to lose it's strength. Has anyone here removed the struts and converted it to the old method of keeping the hood up with a prop set up instead? Not to mention probably more safe.

 

strong arms? why not just get some better gas shocks?

 

Strong Arms have lifetime warranty so go get a new pair Or you can get a used OEM one from a junkyard, but that will fail too

 

Stock ones are the best. Mine have lasted over 6 yrs, and now are showing wear.

My 5 iron has 2 purposes.... beating the crap out of anyone who hits my maxima... and holding up my hood! ...but just until I can get a pair of hood struts, then the 5 iron goes back to just beating people.
