(HELP!!) Problems After Exhaust Install
A little long, so I appreciate you reading it:
So I took my 95 to a place called "Automotive Specialist" because they were going to install my Magnaflow Resonator, Budget B Pipe, and Nissan OEM 2k2 muffler. I told them that there would need to be some custom work done for the muffler to fit, involving cutting and welding. I was quoted $104 for the install.. good price. I went for it.
After having my car 15 mins, the guy calls me back to shop and tells me to look at my stock exhaust, and tells me that the new muffler will not fit. I told him that I knew that it was not a direct-fit, but I had previously stated that there would need to be some custom work done..
Two and a half hours later, my car is done. I take it and drive home. It sounded a little rumbly, and I heard some buzzing while at high RPMs. So, after my car had cooled down, I started it back up to take it for a drive, and it was REALLY ROUGH. There was shaking and it seemed like my car was going to die. Idle was normal.
I put my car up on a lift, and took a look. Everything seemed fine. For the muffler to fit, the guy cut the end off of my old stock muffler, and welded it onto the 2k2 muffler. He cut the whole piping off of the 2k2 muffler and welded it right at where the pipe meets the muffler. Although the weld job looked shotty, I did not think that this could be my problem. I had a friend rev the engine while I stood behind it and looked at the air flow. At idle, and small revs, air only came out of the right tip of the muffler. When he rev'd up to about 5k, it got louder and some air came out of the left tip, but not much.
WHERE COULD THE PROBLEM BE? AHH! The rest of my exhaust set-up is stock, because I haven't gotten to install my y-pipe and straight pipe yet. Thanks for reading, and please reply with any insight.

maybe he left his johnson in the b pipe
seriously...I believe that those mufflers are variable valve. at low pressure, only one side is open, and at high pressure, both open up...I know they did that on the 4 cylinder Altima's, and I think it's just the same on single exaust, dual output Max's. just my $0.02, but that doesn't explain why it's doing what it's doing.

I decided to check to see if I had any stored ECU codes, even though my CEL was not on. 0603.. CYLLINDER 6 MISFIRE! AH!
What could be wrong? Need new spark plugs (possibly).. or worse? Bad injectors?
