Missing Screws for Y-Pipe

Hey y'all when I was installing my new Flowmaster muffler I noticed that I was missing a nut or screw or something on my y-pipe. I was missing one nut on each pipe therefore my car has aloud high pitched kinda whine. Would I be losing power from the y-pipe with that kinda exhaust leak??? Oh yeah, we lost them during a night time install. Does anyone know the size of nut or bolt that keeps the Warpspeed Budget Y-Pipe on? Anyone know that exact size?

No, but if you contact your local Nissan dealer, they'll have the answer for you in the parts department.

Were you missing the whole bolt itself or just a nut that goes on the bolt? If it's just the nut then it's nothing to worry about.

Yeah if its just the nut go to a hardware store and get one that fits. If the stud came out you got some big problems. That would envolve taking off the heat shield and possibly the manifold to weld a new one in. The rear is a different story. To get at that you have to drop or lift the engine.

Well it's the nuts that I'm missing, y'all know eher the y-pipe connects right? Well the y-pipe has three (3) nuts on each inlet. I'm missing one nut on each inlet, and it makes this high pitched noise, some people freak when we run cuz of the sound, I've seen them look over as soon as I'm preesing on the gas, not even at WOT, but just when I'm begining to press down on the gas! OK I'm not much of a Hardware guy how would I find out what size the nuts are for the y-pipe?

Take one nut out and match it up. Just a random guess - 6mmx1.25.

Again, a 2 minute phone call to your local Nissan dealer will yield the info. you need. . .

Why do things the hard way?

Also, did you put new crush gaskets in the grooves of the mounting flanges? If you skipped that step, you'll likely have an exhaust leak, regardless of whether you have all the nuts fastened. These parts are available from Nissan, or your local exhaust shop.
