Hey people I went and registered at superhonda.org to ask some questions about the v-6 accord. I was having trouble choosing between a max and a 1998 v-6 accord. So I asked them to tell me all the good reasons to buy the accord. I got like 6 reponses five of them actually said go with the maxima and they wish they had. The other guy said if ou want performance go with the max. I thought that was cool that even though they own accord's they say go with the max. Which I had decided a long time ago. Pretty cool!!

Cool that they were so tolerant.

Wish this board could be that way sometimes, but oh well.

The responses surprised me. I'd thought they'd dump on the Maxima. Did they offer any reasons or pros/cons to you?

I actually had a V-6 Accord before I bought my maxima, so I think I am well versed enough to respond to your inquiry. Stock, the Maxima is noticably faster than the accord. There are a lot more parts made for the accord to both spruce up performance and physical appearance. However, i had many people say that the Maxima is definently the better choice. It is classier, and I thought more stable. I hope this answers your question, let me know if you want to know anything else.

The biggest problem I had with the Accord V-6 is that you CAN'T get it in a manual 5-speed. I drove a 5-speed 4cyl, but it just didn't feel anywhere near the Maxima. My choice came down to a 99 EX 4cyl 5-speed, half-loaded, against a fully-loaded Maxima SE 5-speed. For the same price of course ($22,500). No comparision.
