Can anyone give me an idea of the parts on the suspension to replace and which ones to reuse. I know that it is different on each car, but Courtsey quoted me $380 for the parts other than the shocks/struts. I am using the following link as a guide.

Are you doing a swap?
I will have to dig up my receipt, but I have a list and it runs much less than that.
I just replaced the rubber parts.

 

Replace dustboots, front strut bearings, front mounts (if yours are bad), and you can reuse everything else. Wrap your springs in vinyl tubing or wire wrap to stop the springs from making noise

 

This was my shopping list:

I purchased all the above from Garrands Nissan in Plattsburgh (over the phone).

I purchased Dust Boots seperately, and reused the things to wrap the springs.

These are part numbers for my '98, double check them for your year, should be the same.

You have all been very helpful, thank you. The car has 125,000 on it and I'm sure it has the original suspension (bought it with 47k). The way I read it is basically to replace the rubber parts and bearings. Has anyone had problems with reusing the brackets or strut insulators? I am doing both front and rear. I want to get at least 75,000 more miles on the car and not have to touch the suspension again.

 

Just replace what I told you in my previous post. Just keep the original spring isolators AND wrap the springs with vinyl tubing or wire wrap so they won't make noise when you drive

 

Thank you, JaTaN. After looking at my list that all makes complete sense. I should have my GR2's waiting for me when I get home and I'm getting the parts from Courtsey for under $130 shipped (btoh front and rear). What would we do without the .org?
