I'm grabbing a VB Mod from Araffio, thx for the deal man ,and was wondering about how good of shape my auto transmission was for this upgrade...its got 140k and it's in my GLE, in compairson to my fathers 95 auto SE with 40k on it, it's shifts are alot weaker...anyways i'm getting the vb installed with a hayden 404 cooler and a new gasket for the pan. any reccomendations or comments....perhaps different tranny fluid? a transmission flush? it comming with rather fresh solenoids in it. any comments are welcome.

 

I would flush your tranny while your pulling it apart. As long as the tranny isn't slipping, you should be good to go, as far as I know.

 

Buy a transmission cooler too. I have a Hayden 404 on my 88 and shes got 176k on her. The coolers can run anywhere from 3o bucks on up depending on the size. Mine is good enough for an nice size RV. Itll give you a diagram on the back on what size is used for what.

your tranny should be fine especially since u are getting the new solenoids
