custom integra sunroof on maxima...any thoughts?

whenever i go over bumps, my sunroof bounces and make noises. kinda annoying.

i was looking at integra's design of sunroof. their sunroof actually lifts up and go on top of the roof. unlike our maxima, which slides between the roof. i was wondering if anybody done a sunroof convertion mod. is it possible? what do you guys think?

maxima style sunroof

integra style sunroof

p.s. IMO the integra style sunroof looks better than maxima's.

ummm imo the teg's sunroof is ugly n getto...strange i go over big bumps all the time and it has NEVER once rattled...it would be extremly expensive to do that btw. all custom work. call around to some body shops...

it is very possible. anything is possible. i hope you got the $$$ though....

i bought my car used and the previous owner had the over-the-top style sunroof installed. i kinda wish that he hadent because i just dont think it's as quality unit as the stocker. but i've had no problems with leaking or rattling with it yet tho

why would you want that? they are made like that because the roof on the integras are small and the whole sunroof contraptions that we have in our maximas wont fit into the integra becuaseo f the roof size. Plus integra roofs are to thin and fragile.

IMO integra's sunroof looks neat, but that's just me.

i guess most people doesn't like it, that's why no one on the org. has done it so far. just posting and gathering information that's all.

thank you for posting.

They leak. My last car was an Integra GS-R and I had to take it in to get it fixed because rain water leaked in. Took it in more than once too. Seems that leakage for this type of sunroof is common. At least thats what the dealer mechanic told me. Just for fun I called a local shop around my area and asked them what they would charge for the type of job you want and they wanted 5 grand.

It goes over the roof because it won't fit between it. It looks really bad too...
