Automatic Transmission ONLY

Just curious about the longevity of Maxima's auto transmission. Please respond if you own/owned a 4th gen auto.

1) Year, current mileage
2) Mileage at first rebuild or repair (fluid change excluded), and cost
3) Mileage at second rebuild or repair, and cost

Example (wishful?)
1) 1995, 195Kmiles
2) 130K, rebuild, $1,500
3) none

I'm impressed! Looks like MaxedOutOfCash is the only person with bad transmission.

Any one else with premature auto transmission failure?

Mine has been feeling a little weak for the last 50k or so. It shifts hard into 2nd, but slips going into 3rd. But, it's not getting much worse and I have another trans ready to go in, so I'm not worried.

yeah...it's not really the tranny though...it's the damn shop, they can't get it running....losers.....the car was stolen last year and the tranny was killed...that's when the problem started.....i've been going back and forth and as of today, the car is in the shop.....

1. 1996 with 75k miles.
2. No rebuilts ever, shifts hard as hell, very quick. If only we had an extra gear up top it would be perfect.

95 SE, had 117k when I converted to 5 speed.

At the time it worked great, although WOT shifts into 3rd were getting kinda mushy.
