[PICS]BMW E36 lights on 4th gen kinda...

I tired a while ago but I didnt have the time and money to make these fit so I gave up. But if you want to see what they can look like here are some picture I just found. Enjoy.

the e36 light alone

The major problem, the clearance behind the headlight. The outside is fine but the inside will require the metal to be cut. Also making the stock lens and the e36 housing fit will cause some problem since they are not the same shape.

e36 lights using the maxima lens

compare the stock lights to the e36

George,

Did you actually put the maxima lense on the e36. I had tried something similar with my 3rd gen, but the stock lense was not focusing the light...but rather distorting it. I actually never thought about it for the 4th gen but its a good idea.

There are some 3rd gen guys who do them right, I hope to be one of them VERY soon. If they are done on the 4th gen you definately need the Maxima lense, cause the curved grille is too sharp.

its odd to have the black projector that is clear with a corner light that is white with a lens

Heres my rendition of what an E36 maxima should look like....

I think the rectangular lights really set the maxima off from the normal maxima lense.
