Hey guys,

Two crappy things happened to me in the past two days. First I hit a pothole on Route 280 in NJ at about 60 mph and now my suspension on the right side is creaking alot when I make turns at low speeds. You can hear the noise on turns at low speeds and im worried that I may have issues with the struts or the mount itself. I just had everything(struts, mounts) replaced last year and cost me a chunk....I dont know what it can be. Can I write a letter to NJDOT explaining the situation and would they perhaps remedy the situation?(I made this up, but can it be?)

Secondly, I was in NYC and had a green arrow and so I made a right to merge with the traffic and a cop was standing there and signaled for me to pull over. I got a ticket because the arrow was only for going straight and I guess you're not allowed to make a right???? I never knew of this stupid law but I got a ticket for "disobeying green arrow". Drivers from NYC, do you know if points are charged and secondly, should I just pay the $100 fine or go to court???

I appreciate any input, Im tired of replacing parts on my Max and definitely sick of stupid laws like not being able to make a turn on green....

It's illegal to make a right on red in NYC. Sounds like you just misunderstood the traffic signal, thinking it was for you. Oh well, these things happen. Pay the fine and take the 2 points and be more careful next time.

I didnt misunderstand the light. It was green and the cars in the front of me were going straight and I made the right, but the cop said you can only go straight and i was completely perplexed why.

About the car though, can you also mount 18's? I just order two for my front and if you could mount them and also check out the suspension that would be cool....let me man....Thanks

 

My tire guy can't do 18's with a 40 series tire. If you'd like to stop by the shop one day let me know.

The light was green when I made my right turn. The cars in front and behind were all moving. Is there a law against making a right hand turn in NYC on specific streets. I made a righthand turn onto Hudson Street. The cop asked me multiple times if the light was green when I made my turn and I said yes. The ticket itself says disobeying green arrow.

 

if you goto the court, they usually take off 2 points
if you got 4 pts, they'll make it 2 pts.. and if it's 2pts, you'll just have to pay the ticket and receive no point. good luck.. you'll be waiting on the line for a while to see the prosecutor(who will decide if he/she will take off the points).

and as for your baby(max), i would recommend getting it fixed ASAP before you end of spending more $$$$ on additional damages due to the current damage.
