I am looking into getting a new suspension setup. i currently have grount control/tokico setup but am unhappy with it. i want to try a spring/shock combo, not coilovers. can you all post pics if you have any of your drop and how the ride feels and what setup.

I'm running B&G springs and AGX's - I'm very happy with that combo. I should say though, that some .org members have reported the B&G springs look like the front sits higher than the rear. I think most of them had manual trannys (manual trannys weigh less than autos). I've been running my setup for more than 6 months, btw.

progress/stock SE struts, rides like a dream......

I'm running on KYBs AGXs and Eibach springs and I'm enjoying the ride. Harsh on the hardest settinig but great for the controll you get. The drop is small but it safer that way since I deal with a lot of bumbs and ramps. Softer on the axles so I heared

El Cheapo "DropZone" Springs. One full coil cut on the front only. KYB AGXs all around. The ride is firm, but not real Harsh. No bouncing problems unless the struts are set to max stiffness. FSTB, and Rear sway bar as well.

Sprint springs with stock struts, FTSB, RSB. It can be a bumpy ride, but for the most part it rides nice.

H&R Springs/ AGXs Great ride, least drop out of all other springs, but ideal for potholes, bumps, things like that. Very happy w/ the springs. Once i found out that they are German made, i was all over them. Right now i have the AGXs set to the stiffest setting. the ride is harsh but my handling is like no other. I also have a Custom Maxima FSTB w/ a Progress RSB on the way. My suspension is nearly complete!

Eibach & Tokico Blue (Also: RSB, FTSB).

On a nice road the car rides fine, bumps arent that harsh, but when the road is really bumpy, the car can easily bottom out, I would not suggest this setup. Instead I would suggest somoene save the extra money and get Illuminas; and motivational mounts for the rear struts. Im positive my Tokico blues are holding my car back.

I have Sprints and GR2's. The drop looks good and handles like a ****. But for everyday city driving I wouldn't reccommend this set-up. It can be very bumpy and the car has the tendency to rub going over speed bumps and humps in the road. As soon as the funding comes in I plan to switch to H&R's with the Illumina's.

H&R springs, Koni fronts, AGX rears, Motivational rear strut mounts (add 1" wheel travel), and Warpspeed Stage I/II subframe connectors. The ride is simply amazing and the subframe connectors are responsible for most of that. The SFCs make the chassis extremely rigid and let the suspension do the shock absorbtion and not the chassis (harshness). My ride is only harsh if I dial the struts to full stiffness and I hit a big bump. Otherwise it rides perfectly, firm, but never harsh. In warm weather I run about 60% stiffness and in cold weather I ran about 20% stiffness. I plan on going to Konis for the rears too because the Konis ride better due to their valving characterisitics.

I've had Suspension Techniques and Intrax springs and they hold nothing compared to the H&Rs. The H&Rs gave my car a 1.7" drop in the drop and 1.5" in the rear. On 17s with me in the car (185lbs) it looks perfect. 2" gaps at all corners.

Sprint/AGX/FSTB/RSB here... Ride is VERY controlled, handles like a dream, not nearly as stiff as some say it is, but then again i live in an area with really good roads...

If i lived in somewhere like NYC and such i would go with Eibach and AGX or Illumina... Haven't tried Motivational rears, some say they can't feel the difference, others say it's good... SFC's you can't go wrong with, unless you're building a car to go fast in a straight line and don't want the extra weight...

BTW: Dave B., how did you manage to get your fastest MPH with a HIGHER 60' time? (Assuming the mods/track/tires were the same?)

It usually happens after I let the engine cool down for a while. I go back and make a run, end up blowing the tires off, get a good ET and a high trap speed. My car is weird sometimes. The times listed in my sig are from the same track, same tires, same mods, BUT not on the same day. It was a 50 degree day when I ran my 14.45@99mph. It was a 70 degree day when I did my 14.40@97 with a 2.20 60' and the run that was a 14.42@98mph with horrible 2.35 60'. I've done a 14.45@97mph wit ha 2.20 on a 80 degree day. Typically for every 10 degree increase in temp, my car slows down 1mph. I've run in 105 degree weather with my 17s and only ran a 14.60@94.5mph.

H&R Spring/AGX ride great. The H&Rs are the softest that you can get with springs on the maxima. I love them...they're great if you live in a choppy road city. The closest to stock springs without going stock.
The AGX are awesome they let you adjust the shocks to the softest to firmest. Your choice...

Cut 4 coils off stock springs with stock shocks. Look at sig.

anyway.. i like the drop. its firm. a little stiff on bumpy roads. but i live in well paved area. turnign handling improved but its not good enough to compete in autoX. good everyday driving application..

mot rear strut mount is a new mount that gives your rear and extra inch of suspenion travel. u will bottom out less and have better ride quality.. and your rear struts will last longer.

um get auto works air ride...hehe

H&R's with GR2's. ride is perfect. A littler harsher but that goes away after a week.

this is the way the car should have come from the factory.

OT.. did/does anyone have problems with the spring moving? I took it back to the dealer and they put the old rubber seat back in. the movement stopped, but I hear it again. anyone have any suggesstions?
