ive weighed each piece .. and when i get the old piece im going to see what happened. on the weight. example: sarona rear was 17 pounds.. im going to subtract the weight of the old bumper minus the complete antenna i had yanked out which is like 4 pounds. The side skirts were 5 pounds ..I guess what im planning is to go in the car and yank the extra weight, but its not going to be much .. i just added corbeau seats that took off 47 pounds, just that alone should still keep me lighter .. im just going to keep tabs on the swap and then hope the seats, new cf hood coming soon, and dry cell battery keeps the weight even lower. im still wondering what a stock bumper weighs ? im hoping its close to 17 pounds

Yeah, you can get rotas in 5x114.5. I was about to get some, but am having to hold off for a while. Go for them, man. I think they look very cool for cheap rims. They are pretty light too. Here is a good site for them I found when I was searching. Check it out and see wheel prices. (definately go for gunmetal)

Good luck!

I wouldn't go with the Subzeros. I heard of fitment problems. Think you might need spacers. I would get something else.

some kits help redirect air (make it easier), which could in a sense make it faster, probably not much. -i30miked

Here is a pic of my car with a set of 18 inch rota sub zeros. I have had NO fitment issues what so ever and the rims are great i love them. Believe it or not i got rid of a set of volks for these rotas, i got tired of flashy rims that attracted too much attention.

Hope this helps,

Jon

Interesting...I guess some people have no problems with the fitment while others do. They look very nice.

I second the motion of them looking very nice. On the white, especially.
takentomax....cool quote in sig. I like that.
Battle max...I might have to disagree with ya on the Volks. I mean, unless they were just a crappy set(I don't think Volk even makes a crappy set), they probably weighed 5 or 6 lbs. less than those subzeros. I do like the subzeros, but when you give up a forged, or semi-forged, wheel for them...it is questionable. I understand welcoming the change, but I would just love to get my hands on some Volk wheels, that's all.

True the volks were great gold 17 inch Gram lights..that was about 15lbs. I basically wanted another set of 18 inch rims, having volks just want that important anymore....believe it or not i had a set of volks,17 inhch Se rims,Mille evo 5's and a set of Rotas in one year. I gave up about 3 pounds when i got the rotas but i dont really notice. Ill eventually get another set though..

I have the same year/model as you Ceasar. Depending on how the rear looks...the linked combo below is the most appealing ground kit combo in the thread; the first guy to reply.Too tight, I can already tell you that's the combo I'll go after. Looks great. I had considered the skyline kit, but after seeing that blue one with the Mazdaspeed rear wing...it's just too busy. The Maxima is all about understated elegance.

it just makes the aerodynamics of the car better. There could be less air resistence on the car while moving. I do not know if any maxima kits were designed to do this, but traditionally, that is where body kits came into existence. Kind of like when you are in a race and you are behind someone, they are cutting the air for you, so you can whip it and pull ahead.
