cruise control not working...

cruise control not working...
When I press on the cruise control on/off button on the dash, the light comes on but I cannot set the coast or anything on the steering wheel. What could be the problem? I can't seem to find a fuse for cruise control. Could there be a problem with the buttons on the steering wheel?
