95 GXE 5 spd 174,000

I found a Blue 95 GXE 5 spd w/ 174,000 miles for $500. It has usual dents and scratches but nothing major. Has CELS on he replaced KS and O2 sensors. CELS turned off for 3 months but is back on. Local Nissan dealer claims that the ECU has to be replaced. The car will need to be inspected next month. If I buy the I will have to fix the CELS problem quickly since in NJ you can't pass inspection with the CELS on. Do you guys think it is worth the time and money?

definitely not worth the time or money. can I have the guys number who is selling it?

j/k it is more than likely worth it. fix CELs and give it a nice tune up and you'll be ready to ride.

Man for 500 dollars your gettin a STEALLLLLLLLL. Take it, and just repair the car. When I bought my car I got raped big time. I should have paid as much for it as i did but I fixed everything and now I love my car and cant see myself gettin rid of it. With everything that i went through and learned through my experience, most likely its the mass airflow sensor that is no good. Goto a junkyard and get a used one. I changed almost everything on the car before I knew that was what was killin me. Good luck with it. Worst case you put 2 grand into the car and you end up paying 2500 for a great car.

If it needs a New ECU it could have gotten fried from water damage..check that out but for $500 its not too bad of a deal..even if you put in $2000 your still only at $2500 for a good car

Thanks Guys. I already own a 97 SE which I have had for 5 years. I came across this deal and had to be absolutely sure. I could use the money on some mods. Thanks.

Sorry. It is not listed in any ads. It is one of those things you come across in someones garage. To bad it wasn't a classic corvette like a stingray.

I got the car and for a better price. The guy must of been very anxious about selling the car and told me that the first person that gives him $300 keeps it. So to make a long story short, I have a 95 GXE 5SPD w/174,000 and it runs better then my 97 SE w/ 97,000. Go figure.
