i just got new hyper white corner bulbs for the max and it still has the dullness to it like it was stock..how do i get it to brighten up?????

 

Cut the top nub off the bulb with nail clippers.

 

Cut off one of the nubs on the bulb.. I forget if it's the top or bottom. The goal is to install the bulb backwards.. You should be able to figure it out when you look the socket. This will cause the bub to run at a higher wattage.

yeah but I've heard that doing that makes the bulb run at the higest wattage therefore burning out the harness...


Anyone have any info on that?

 

I did the Cornering light bulb mod to mine and i run those lights in the day and night, still works fine! Had them like that for like 5 months.

 

Just buy the amber colored ones like I did and turn them yellow. Forget trying to make them brighter or match your headlights. It looks really cool, when you do that and match them with the clear bumper lights with the same color bulbs in them too. IMO

 

Will This nubbing of the bulb work for 98's? ( just asking cause that link says for 95-96)
