Remove Right Side Axle Bearing for Clutch Job
A number of weeks ago, I changed the CV Joint Boots on my 96 Maxima. I found that I could not remove the bearing on the right side, to be able to remove the axle, so I just replaced the boot with the axle still on the car.
Well, I just found out my clutch is going bad and in order to change it this week and I will have to remove the bearing.
I was able to get the 3 bolts out, but the thing WOULD NOT BUDGE, no matter what I tried.
Does anyone have the magic formula for getting it separated?
I've loosen the 3 bolts and tried to pound on the heads of the bolts to get it to back out, though it seems there's not enough room to get much leverage in there to press or swing with. I've got it cracked, but it doesn't want to move beyond that.
Any ideas?
Mike

Guys, Sorry, this turns out to be a duplicate post. I had submitted it about 4 days ago, but it appeared that the system didn't accept my post. There were several replies, and I'll try some more using those hints.
