Questions on swapping from auto to stick...

Ok, a while back I posted about modding my auto, with alot of extra goodies. But then I mentioned that I wanted to switch to stick afterwards. Some of the things I wanted on my auto was VB mod and ECU upgrade, but if I was going to switch to stick, there was no use, and a waste of money if I bought those upgrades.

How much am I looking at spending to do the conversion? W/out me purchasing the parts.

Should I get a tranny from a stick I30 or Canadian Max?

So what I want to know is what can I add to my car right now, that I can keep when I switch to stick??? I'm including the things I want to put on, please included anything I left out.

Plus what other goodies can add once I go stick, and where can I find them?

Right now (auto)

Intake (Injen)
Headers (Cattman)
Y-pipes (Warpspeed)
B-pipes (Custom made)
Straight pipe (Custommax)
Exhaust (Magnaflo)
UDP (Custommax)

Near future (stick)

ECU (JWT)
Clutch (what brand?)
Flywheel (what brand?)

any other ideas?

Oh on the side not, my friend told me that SC is better for autos, and that TURBO is better for stick, is this true?If so why?

Thanks alot for your help

Try going with an ACT stage 2 clutch. I see you are in Brownsville, I was down there a few weeks ago. I didnt see any maxs out there. Oh well.

Hey sharkulator hit me a pm, when you come down, maybe we can all get together. Everyone here is spread out, you should know how it is. There are about like 8 modded maxs here, some performance some looks. But hit me up.

As for turbo vs. SC and auto vs. stick it's my understanding that the auto works better with turbo due to the fact that you will have your foot stuffed continuously in it, providing a steady flow of exhaust gases to drive the turbo impeller thereby keeping the turbo on full boil where the instant no-lag power of the supercharger works better with manual boxes...cheers!
