R/C Body for 4th gen Maxima!!!!!
Thought you'd look. Sorry they don't exist. Atleast not yet. I'm contacting a few companies to get a 4th gen body made in 200mm. I've seen a Mazda Millenia, Ford Taurus, and some other odd cars. Why not a Max?
I wanted to see how much interest there would be and how much we'd be willing to pay for a limited run. This way I have some bargaining chips when figuring the details. I figure only 50% of the people who say they're in will actually come through. I'd be willing to pay $60 for one but if a company will take the request then $100 isn't out of the question for me. Let me know!!!!

get enough interest and im sure anything can be done, but a plastic mold for an r/c car for $100. thats crazy.. $50 more reasonable. try to get in touch with hpi racing.. they did this a few years back with the firebird/ camaro bodies. and then there is always bolink. there so low in the market thell do anything for a few bucks.. but hey even tho im out of the whole r/c thing if a 4 gen body made an apearence.. id def be in!!!

well, this is a repost...
but yeah, i am VERY intrested, but when you think about it, it probably won't happen. the last person who made a post about this was actually thinking of making his own plastic mold from scratch, and submitting it. that is crazy. and there is no way i would pay $100 for a body... it is just not fesiable. even $50 is high... $30-$40 would be tops for me. because then you have to buy paint, and tape, and yada yada. i don't mean to be a downer, but i just don't see it happening. sorry.

My fleet includes the two above (WRX STi & Saleen), a 328Ci, custom M3 convertible, Supra, RX7, and CLK-GTR (DTM). It used to be a stock Nitro RS4 but I replaced everything on it. Used to race every other weekend but work and a fiancé put that on hiatus.

They had a thread similar to this in the HPI forums awhile ago where people were requesting different bodies made. The staff said that it's not cost-effective to produce bodies that no1 wants, so unless the demand is high, they won't make a mold to make only a few bodies

It costs alot of money to make a good mold of a body. I used to be big into r/c cars and it takes a LOT of interest to get bodies built. HPIracing.com has a forum, and last time i checked (years ago) they had a body and paint section, in which people would put up votes on to which body to make. Contact HPIracing and see what they say, we cant guarantee that many purchases though, as although the body is nice, many of us dont have the chassis ($300 r/c car) to put it on.

So it's not always about aerodynamics, Its just a shell to cover the chassis with, just like a set of rims. But I would definetely buy one of these bodies, and get back into the rc car scene, i had traded my whole setup back then (RC10L) I think for a punch amp! when i got my first car, didnt have any cash.

I believe you could make a 200mm body fit on a 190 without much problems, but im not 100% sure.
Aerodynamics are a pretty big role in these bodies, as there is professional r/c car racing, and last time I was into the scene they all seemed to use the stratus bodies because of their aerodynamics, cars like the lamborhini and saleen are made partially because they are awesome cars and people might buy the bodies simply because they are awesome cars. If the Maxima body is made, who else other than maxima enthusiasts would buy them unless they can compete with the aerodynamics of the other race-class bodies? Know what im saying?
