Does anybody have difficulty starting their car when their engine is cold? ( 98 se auto trans) It turns over then immediately shuts off. I end up giving it some gas to get started. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

 

I have the same problem sometimes with my 1996 GXE auto. I don't know what causes it, but it's not a really high priority for me because it doesn't seem like a serious problem. Anyone have any thoughts on this? If it is something serious then I'll get it fixed, but if it's just a normal thing it'll give me some peace of mind to know it's not a problem.

 

Clean your throttle body..worked for me

 

Already did that 2/3 months ago before it got really cold, it's only been maybe 4000 miles, I might try it again when I get an intake.

 

hey guys check your coolant temp sensor for corrosion if it is clean it or buy a new one its like $25 bucks at the dealer
