Honest appraisal for my max

I'm thinking about selling my precious max and getting something a bit newer and quicker. Not sure I wanna part with her yet, but I need to know about how much I could sell her for.

Mine is a 97 SE 5-Speed.
Deep Evergreen
Heated Leather seats
Bose CD
Remote Keyless
Moonroof
Homelink
Auto Climate
(I think she has every option but the Auto)

I added...
Professional 35%/20% tint
New Red/Clears from custommaxima.com
Front clears
Silverstar Headlights
Injen CAI
FSTB
Italian Leather Shift Boot
Debadged trunk..."maxima" lettering mounted on pass. side dash

New bridgestone all-seasons (4) (7/03)
New OEM Muffler
All new Brakes (4/03)
Front rotors (4/03)
New starter (9/03)

Exterior is about an 8 of 10....quite a few minute scratches
Interior is showing some slight fade from being a texas car up until last April

Oil changed every 3,000 or less
Meticulous maintenence and care since I purchased
Will get a new clutch before I sell

My maxima looks and drives great and I know there are people looking for loaded SE 5-speeds. I get compliments on her all the time.

I appraised it on KBB and I saw a value of 6900 for private party, on "good" condition. I KNOW I could get more than 6900 for her...

Please tell me about how much I could get for her and please tell me if you or someone else is interested in buying mine potentially. Thanks for reading!!

-Nick

Don't mean to bust your bubble but I'd say anything around 7G's is a pretty fair price. I bought a '97 almost a year ago for $5000. If you aren't in a hurry to sell just stick a price you can live with on it an wait and see if anyone is interested; you can always lower it. I wouldn't start any higher than $8500~$9000 though, unless your really not in a hurry to sell it.

mileage, accident record, and pictures would be a big help i determining as well. I'm confident you could get a little higher, but we need more info. Also, i would suggest to put it back to OEM as much as possible and sell the AM stuff. I know you dont have a lot, but unless its a maxima enthusist(sp), it will devalue your car.

It also depends on the area. Around here I could sell my car for $5500, but in other parts of the country it would be more like $3500.

I'd say $6800-7500 will be the best you'll do assuming your mileage is below 70K. Lucky for you, you're in the Midwest and the Maxima resale is still fairly decent. Your only problem is you've got a 5 speed which means fewer people will be interested in the car, but those that are, will pay more for the rare 5 speed. Pull all the mods off because people aren't really interested in that stuff and it will turn some buyers away. Since you're in Des Moines, I suggest advertizing in the Kansas City Star for a couple weeks because it's only a 2.5 hour drive to Des Moines and there's 3 million people in KC.

My buddy has been trying to sell his black 98 SE 5 speed (fully loaded) for a couple months now. He's been looking to get about $8500-9000.

Mileage is 82K by the way...was in a rear end collision prior to me buying, but the damage wasn't too substantial. I have no recent pics to post, and I dont have a camera...I'll see if one of my friends will let me borrow their's. As for you, Maxima Mike, I would consider selling at any time with a solid legitimate offer.
