My Cusin has a 97 eclips with a laptop tunning program.
You can change basically anything and everything about the car. The program was $600 for a DSM Tunner Car. But we need one for our maximas. Or do we allready. If so, were can we get them? His car is running some (Holly **** #'s) just with his tunning alone. If you guys have heard anything at all tell me. Thanx.

 

Our ECUs aren't flashable. That's why you don't see any portable tuning devices for our cars. You need to solder on additional boards to get that effect. Since you have a 99 you are out of luck since only 95-96 maximas have that option, for now.

 

or Stillen/JWT or any enterprising individual with connections in the semiconductor/electronic engineering and design industry to produce a brand new ECU, which would use the same electrical layout, etc, but with different ROM/Chips and sockets that are tuner friendly. Look at what a motherboard sells for. Look at the work involved in designing and making one. Look at an ECU. Enough said. To produce a fresh ECU wouldn't be expensive at all, especially since there'd be no base maps to crack. I know it COULD be done at a reasonable price, considering that I know how much something like this would cost to make, it's all about how greedy people are.
