95-96 grille option

i was thinking of cutting the black part of the grille out and putting a black/polished gutter guard style mesh in place of it. what do you guys think?

or an easier option. just take out the nissan emblem andput the mesh in front to cover up the holes/flat spot.

what do you guys think is the better option?

cutting it would be pointless, just put the mesh over it.

Got the site link? I'd like to see a close-up pic of that grille. What did it cost?

Now that looks sick. Did you cut the old grill out or just put the mesh over it?
Cause if you don't cut it, you will still be able to see the old grill.

i'd say cut out the old grill and put in mesh.
i got the one from grille-tech and i can still see the solid part where the emblem used to be. i dont think you can use the grille-tech stuff if you cut out the old grill entirely so you'd have to make the mesh insert yourself. as for me i'm going to try to cut out just the solid part where the emblem was to see if it makes a big improvement...
the pontiac grilles just make me want to

The lower pic shows the mesh wrapped over the stock mesh.... It actually came out perfect, but the only thing i didnt like about it is that you could see where the "nissan" emblam went underneath it. It dont matter now cause i have a 99 fron end on

this is why i had this when i first got my max and knew nothing about "what looks good" or about modding really...

...but then again, with the Stillen lip, fresh paint on the entire nose and matching lower mesh it didnt look that bad!

I did it on mine too, dremeled out the middle of the factory grill and used a galvanized screen mesh from Home Depot. I like it but I'm looking into redoing it in the future and paint matching whatever it's gonna be with the car. See links below for pix:

If only the instructions were just as easy on the main grille.

WHat would it look like, if you put the mesh and painted it to the color of the car. Can you put mesh over the fog lights, or would that fall off. I wanna do that on my max, but have been cautious to do it.

mesh over fog light?? why.. i like the grill to be black.. i think any other color grill is ricey..

used dremel to cut out factory mesh

i used hi scratch resisteance truck bed paint, and clear coat from autozone to paint the homedepot mesh fencing.

used steel mesh "fencing" from gardening section of home depot.

used black plumbing glue a a couple mini black zipties to hold the grill on.

u can kinda see the radiotor if u look hard... but paint it black and no one can tell.. u cannot seet he hook release lever..
