Finally got a y-pipe, now things are going wrong!

After owning my max for over 2 years now I finally purchased a cattman y-pipe. There is a definitely a noticeable increase in top-end power and nice quiet purr coming from the exaust. I should have bought that first Two days after that my clutch went out. I guess its a good time to get a stage 1 ACT clutch. Also I have code 0707 and 0304, rear O2 sensor fail and knock sensor. I mine as well replace all of my O2 sensors. How much does O2 sensors and knock sensors usually run? Thanks Dave A.

I ordered my cattman y-pipe last week from custommaxima and am excited about it As for the o2 sensors I believe they would run you about $68 a piece. Im not sure about the knock sensor.

O2 sensors are $60 a piece from oxygensensors.com. As for the knock sensor don't bother, it's set off by the o2 sensor code. Also don't get the ACT, as MANY people have problems with them, something with clamping force being too much for the tranny. Get the EXEDY.

get exedy stage one or exedy stock replacent. both give you increase clamping pressure over stock. unless u are planning to boost your max, go with the stock replacement. your knock sensor code should be gone after u replace the o2 sensor. knock sensor can be had for 90 bucks off EBay.. jsut type i maxima knock.

i just recently learned that there are 2 different types of o2 sensor.. the pre cat ones.. which are 60 bucks and go on the Y.. the o2 sensor sites dont sell any post cats oens though.i dont knwo how much those cost from dealer.. good luck finding them.. tell us where if u do find them.

I need a clutch that will last longer that my stock and will handle that 50 shot of N2O i have on my car right now. I like the sound of exedy, It's cheaper that ACT right? Where did you guys get your exedy stage 1? Dave A.

The ones on the y-pipe are the pre-cat sensors.

Hey Maxima984, I've seen your car B4. I live in the university area. You either work, or frequent Concord Mills Mall, right? I like the ride its nice. Oxygen sensors from Advance Auto parts on Independence Boulevard were like $100-110 for both rear O2 sensors, and there are sites that explain how to install them. BTW, if you see a tan maxima with an exhaust, altezzas, a maxima banner, and soon to be lowered, its me. i'll holla at ya. Hope this helps.

Go to www.drivewire.com . You can get the Bosch OEM replacements for cheap and they ship fast. Like others said, don't bother with the knock sensor unless it comes up as a code by itself after you've replaced whatever o2 sensor threw the code.
