After all you know now, which clutch would you get?

My stock clutch still works, but I'm starting to research a new one (102K miles). How long do stock clutches usually last? Is it best to just wait until the old one goes out? How much are OEM clutches, and how much would an aftermarket clutch cost? Would a mechanic charge the same to install a stock clutch vs an aftermarket one? What are my choices? I remember Daniel B. Martin said that he would not put an OEM clutch in his car, even though it sounded like he never drove it hard. Anyone know which clutch he recommended? I've heard a lot about the Exceddy Stage 1. I enjoy driving hard on occasion, but am not willing to risk hurting ruining my transmission for a better time (I have heard some of the aftermarket clutches have killed the tranny?). I don't have any mods that increase horsepower, and if I did they would be small increases like Y pipe or CAI, not a supercharger or NOS. I don't think there's one right answer to this, so it'd be great if we could get a good discussion going here. Thanks!

installation should be the same and clutch prices vary a good one probably from i guess 300+ maybe 250+ i don't know for sure i guess just don't get the key-value clutch from the dealer just order all the parts separately and not in a kit

Go with ACT street strip set up.... by far the best mod in my opinion...

www.southwestautoworks.com has a great deal on them.

So does that kit on the site come with everything I'd need to give the dealer, besides manual transmission fluid, to do the install? Is this clutch one that won't tear out my transmission? I'd rather go with a weaker clutch or stock one than one that'll hurt the car.

I haven't driven any Maximas with a different one, but I don't have any specific complaints with mine either. Does anyone remember what Daniel B. Martin wanted to improve by getting an aftermarket clutch?
