pardon my poor chinglish, but what does it mean "lightly sand the connector on the wires and the flat area on the intake manifold"????

lol..cake.. just unscrew those bolts.. get a towel and some carb cleaner to clean the area around the bolt, clean the contact on the bolt while your at it.. sand it if you want..he just means sand the area wher the bolt touches the intake manifold. and the area on the bolt itself. then put it back on..
its just a ground. the knock sensor is grounded there. if the contact is dirty/greasy, it will not ground correctly and your knock sensor will not funciton properly..
