clutch question

Here's the deal. It was freakin cold today in chicago, like 0 F or less in the morning. When i got into my car, and pressed the clutch, it was weird, like spongy hard. What could it be? Do i need to bleed my clutch?

It should be ok. It's the cold weather causing your pedal to be hard. I live in the Chicago area, and mine does that too. After you dirve around for a while and it warms up, it'll return to normal. The colder it it is, the longer it'll take though.

i heard that this happens because we have a hydraulic clutch, and the cold weather causes this effect?

I also live in Chicago and had the same issue when it was 0 degrees the past few days. Also, my shifter felt extra mushy. Both issues disappeared when the car reached operating temperature. I think the cars work fine down to about freezing temperatures (32 degrees F), and then below that we really need to give the car a few extra minutes before we expect it to perform like normal.
