Door Stuck Closed

I don't know why my rear pass. door wont open, I'm very sure its not frozen closed because none of the other doors were at all, also the inside locking mechanism is very hard to push either way. (lock, unlock) This is messing with my power locks too it makes a "bad" noise when I try to use the power locks. Anyone know what I can do?

I tried to heat up the cracks of the door and push hard from the inside, but it doesn't budge, maybe the lock latch in the door is frozen closed?

I just got my windows tinted, do they take off the door panels to do that because that could have messed somthing up,

Thanks.

My child lock is off, and it won't open either way

AND it's messing with my power locks, when I unlock all of the doors via remote or inside switch they re-lock after like 1 second.

well after you take the panel off you will have acsess to the 2 metal lines that control the lock. Good luck.

My guess is youd have to break the door panel...or you can see what you can access if you remove the plastic trim

When you tint, you remove the door panels right? I'm thinking that the place I got my windows tinted (yesterday) let the water drip down in the door and now its frozen. If I can't get it open soon I'm going to call them and ask if it's possible for them to check it out. First ill try to pour hot water on the outside of the door and use my heatgun on the cracks.

Thanks Alot guys

Yea, just call them up and ask. Also, be careful with the heat gun b/c you don't want your paint to melt

Bring it back to them. and yes, when you apply tint, you have to remove the door panels. If they came frozen straight from the shop, I would contact them ASAP to minimize the chance of them saying "you had the car for this long, and now you come back to us.." If this just happened randomly then something might have jammed the lock mechanism

two years ago i had this happen to the front passanger door. i know for sure it wasn't frozen since i live in AZ . it was really screwed up and even a slim-jim wouldnt work. the stealership had to fix it because our mechanic had no idea what to do. it turned out that the latch mechanism broke free from the lever that moves it so nothing you did could get it open. i dont know how they ended up fixing it (i'm guessing they took the door panel off) but it cost like $500!!! that really sucked . hope your problem is more easily fixed.
