idle 500RPM??!!

As of recent my car has started idleing at a low rpm gradually getting worse and with a low idle comes a vibration obviosly. Tonight my car was idleing at 500 rpm. I know this is not normal so how do i corect this. Also recently my gas milage had been very poor, is there a posibility that the two problems could be related such as a knock sensor, or o2 sensor? Please help! Thanks in advanced.

i would suggest the knock sensor, atleast check it. If that isnt the problem, there is an idle adjustment cable, but dont mess with that unless you have to

Here is the link for how to change it (which means you could easily check it with the same set of instructions)
http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/507

the knock sensor is a resistor/sensor, so to check it, you use a voltage meter that shows resistance. I am not sure on the exact ammount of resistance it should register, but check out the link, and see if it is something you are up to doing. Hopefully someone can help out with that number

get back to me, and let me know how it goes. Your car looks real good, strangely like mine. Take off your pin stripe and get some clear corners

I didnt think they were bad at all, they were gen 2s so they didnt have that typical look and they were carbon fiber so they look real cool on the black car imo.
