5 speed swap cheaper?

5 speed swap cheaper?

I know it's about 3k with parts and labor for a 5 speed swap but would it be any chaper if I was able to find a totaled max with low miles fro a junkyard and get the parts from there?

What are th chances of finding a 5 speed member with low miles that wants to swap for an auto where we can simply switch tranny's. Slim to none, guess I'll be waiting awhile.

How about selling your whole car, and buy another of the same year but with a manual transmission. Seems like the quickest and cheapest way to me.

labor ends up being expensive . If you can find a 5spd max in your area for a good price then see what you can do.

Just becare fully with junk yard cause ive done a few tranny with my uncle hu is a machanic and there was a few times we had to pop the tranny back out because they were broken. And the junk yard doesn't refund time and money you spent on labor.
