Weird electrical problem.
Weird electrical problem.
After messing up my gauges (cluster), i finally found one on ebay and did the swap. When i was plugging everything back in the gauge, interior lights (dashboard, shifter lights where it lights up the "P, R, D, 1, 2",) the outside corner lights next to my headlights, and my tailights completely went blank. When i drive at night, the only lights that light up is the brake light.
I thought it was the fuse, but when i remote start, the corner lights and interior lights flash on and off (normally). I changed the fuse but that wasnt it. What can it be? a relay? a circuit?
how can i fix this?

I don't know how similiar 3rd and 4th gen wiring is, but 3rd gen have trouble with corner lights, dash lights, and tail lights all being on the same fuse and shorting out. Brake lights are apparently on different fuse. Typically it is from 1) corner rewire 2) new stereo improperly installed 3) most commonly shorted out tail lights. One person mentioned a dash switch causing it. In your case, since you did something involving wires or close to wires, I'd start there.
