Moonroof off track?

I think my moonroof may have come off of it's track. When I press the buttons I can hear the motor running, but it doesnt go anywhere. Anyone had a similar problem, or know a fix?
Thanks alot

I assume that the glass is cocked to one side, and the motor does not run but makes more of a groaning noise. If this is correct:

yup.. pretty common prob actually. You should be able to find some info in the 4th gen FAQ about this one... I think.

You'll need to order a moonroof rebuild kit... Part no. #91350-40U20

I did this repair on my car last summer... what pain in the ****!

Basically, the motor drives a gear that pushes/pulls two cables anchored to the glass; one cable for the left side and one for the right. After so long, one of the cables breaks free from the anchor and the moonroof gets jammed immediately.

The kit contains new cables attached to new anchors and a few other misc items.

Good luck.
