95 5speed tranny question
Ok well, in 2-3 months i will be getting my brothers maxima and im really worried about the bearing in the tranny. I might get it with 98-100k miles and its been well maintained. What are the real chances of the tranny bearing going bad?
The clutch has been replaced
Clutch master and lines are new as well
Im really concern about this Bearing stuff because it seems to go bad 100k. Im just a teen living in NJ and trust me insurance is enough and I dont have $500-$900 to repair this. The car has no problems it runs strong and is maintained to the fullest. All repairs and Tune-ups were done from the Nissan dealer. The car isnt raced, but im just really concern about this.
I know my auto shop teacher will just charge me for the part but I dont trust the other classes around maxi. But hey $50 or $900 saves me a lot but if anything wrong happens to the car then im out of luck. Does anyone know when these bearing do acually go?

Depends on how the car was maintained/treated. Other than that, it's a crapshoot. Like any car you buy. If it's running well now, no reason not to believe it won't run well for many more miles. You can run synthetic gear oil for extra protection if you wish
