How many wires do you have to connect? I assume one goes to a siren and another to ground, as well as the 12v? If you get a voltmeter (they're like $15 at Walmart), you can find any wire that's carrying a constant 12 v (or so). If you want, you can just attach it to the wire coming off the battery's + wire. That should be constant 12v. Although maybe a professional around here has a better idea? I know where the constant 12v wires are under the dash if you'd rather attach it there.

I used the instructions from the 4th generation How-to's and had no problem. Check it out and if you have any problems, let me know.

Yeah you'll be fine just attaching it to the wire coming off the red (+) lead of the battery.

That is not the best place for a shock sensor due to the water damage issues. You really should think about putting it inside your car. If you still want to put it there, make sure you seal the sensor some how so that it will not get damage from the rain.

These are custom gauge lights that I made with some assistance from Eternity059. He is the one that came up with the idea first and was gracious enough to assist me. Head on over to his website and take a look. Let me know if you cannot figure it out and I'll lend you a helping hand. Laters.

Your wiring sounds right. The green wire is used for dual stage sensor (aka warning stage) which our stock alarm does not support. I would check your ground cable (black) and make sure it is connected to a good ground. Also, remember that there is about a 30sec wait until the alarm actually is HOT once you arm it. Finally, make sure that the hood sensor is acually closed otherwise the shock sensor will not work. Hope this helps.

try connecting black cable to negative terminal of battery and see if that solves your problem.

Glad I could help. Most places strap the shock sensor on the steering wheel column since most vibrations will be sense at this point. Also, if some one tries to jack your wheels, the shock sensor will also go off. I think all alarms stays on for no more than 10 minutes then cut off. I'm pretty sure that feature is built into all alarms since its part of some regulation or standard.

would it be better to have 1 shock sensor in the middle of the car with the sentivity up alil higher than having 2 sensors in the front and in the back?

Well it's your preference. Normally 1 shock sensor and 1 glass break sensor located inside your car should provide enough coverage. The higher set sensors will/maybe more prone to false alarms...especially in cold weather. Just experiment and see what you like.
