wheel bolt

I brought my car to a shop to have it worked on and someone there broke off a piece of one of my 5 wheel bolts. now that they are denying it i might have to do it myself, i was just wondering if anyone knew if i can replace just the one bolt or if the whole thing needs to be replaced.

Damn, they broke one of your bolts? I wouldn't take the answer they gave you...lying that they didn't break it....I'd ask to talk to the manager or something

Happened to me once to on a front wheel on my ' 98 Max. Easy to replace yourself. Take the wheel and the rotor off. Turn the hub to position the broken stud in a position where it clears in the back of it , use a punch and hammer to take it out. I had to file some metal behind to let the broken stud out, but very little like 1/16 in or so. Put the new stud from behind as well. Put the new wheel nut on and torque it to pull the new stud in place. Voilą!
