Test pipe

Found a pipe on ebay to replace my Cat. I don't have emmissions so no big deal for me. Here is the link for the one on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2453149740

I wanted to know if it was a good deal. If not where do you recommend to go for a test pipe like this? I have a 99 SE.

Also how much louder will my car be with the rest of the exhaust being stock if I do this and is the advertised 7-12 HP on the ebay add a realistic gain if I replace my cat with one of these.

Here is what I would like to do. I do all my own work when possible and have an 86 T-Type with around 400 HP. Looking for 225 HP out of the MAX at the fly wheel. What do I need to do to get it there? Will the following get me to my goal?

Cold air kit
Test pipe to replace the cat
ECU upgrade

One more question. If I replace the cat with a test pipe will the cooler exhaust set off the check engine because of the O2 sensor?

Thanks

well there is a downside, i wouldnt expect those gains, but im no exhaust pro, if you want to get a test pipe drop by
http://www.warpspeedperformance.com/ and shoot dallas over an email. I think they are going for 35 not sure. I have the test/racing pipe with resonator from custom maxima. you could drop by there and check those out. they cost a little over double. i dont recommend the gaskets they sell.

on the sound, it didnt hear much of a difference on my max, with y pipe, bpipe with resonator and magnaflow muffler.

Im willing to bet it will set of the light !

that's pretty expensive and looks like a load of crock....the pipe looks ugly and I am calling BS on the 9 - 16HP increase.... you could get 16 - 20 outta a y-pipe...but please correct me if I am wrong, but you're not necessarily increasing your engines horsepower output, but facilitating it's efficiency with exhaust mods.
my $0.02
