As mentioned in the subject, my car intermitently dies whilst driving, I've checked for fault codes, there are none, checked the fuel pump even swapped it with a known working one, changed plugs and fuel filter. I took it to an automotive electrician to get it checked but they were unable to find a problem.
When the car dies it sometimes can take me upto 3-4 mins to start it again, it's getting fuel, i can smell is coming out the exhaust. Must be somehow spark related.

 

Maybe too much fuel, or no spark. That would be the cause of the gas odor from the exhaust. Have you checked to see if all the coil packs are firing?
