Those of you who bought KYB dustboots...

Tirerack.com has this set for my 98 Nissan Maxima...but the FAQs say to get 95 Mustang front and 95 Miata rear. Do I just buy this set on tirerack or get the mustang/miata?

dude go with the Mustang/Miata combo. People are right about it. I personally put them on the GR-2's and they fit perfect.

aren't they all the same? thought that KYb didn't make dustboots for maximas and so we're supposed to get mustang/miata dustboots.

No. KYB doesn't make them for Maxima. You have to buy the KYB's for Mustang and Miata. I think they're part # SB103(front) and SB108(back).

Why not just go with the reamaining stock boots and save yourself some money. They will work, I called KYB directly and asked them if the stock boots will work and they said they would.

How can I tell if my stock boots are still ok? I looked at them and they looked to be in pretty good condition...but I don't know what I'm supposed to look for when judging whether theyre dying or not.

You'll want to replace them, the stock boots suck a$$. My rear ones shredded into rubber rings and started to get sucked in the stock shock.

The KYB boots have a smaller bumpstop that will give a little more suspenison travel compared the the stock boots. You can cut the stock bump stops though....
