Are Tokico Illuminas any good?

I was wondering if any one had any feed back on the Illuminas. They are now out for the 5th gens and I am not able to find if anywhere what maxima owners think of them. I am currently on H&Rs and Tokico blues and the ride is bouncy. I am planning on sticking with the H&Rs. Any info would help out, thanks

I don't have them, but I have been reading a lot about them recently. They are getting good reviews, especially from people here on the org.

I'm on H&R and Illuminas. They are by far the best riding strut you can buy for our cars. That combo, IMHO rides better then the factory setup. It's very smooth and firm. Quite different then KYB's products. The settings are from 1 to 5 and I'm currently on #3 with 16" wheels for the winter. You'd never know your riding in a lowered car with that setup. It feels like a true sports car, nice and firm yet very smooth on the highway.

I've been on a Progress/AGX setup for 1.5 years, I'm getting tired of the stiffness. I'll be switching to Illumina's in the spring

Yeah, when I do the switch from stock, I want it to be a stiffer ride than stock...but not so stiff that it is uncomfortable to ride in. It is my everyday car.

This place has them for 450 for a set of 4 shocks. No use paying more than you have too. Hell, that's one bumper stop!!

I found that Custommaxima.com had the best combined shipping and purchase price. It came out to $481 for me, but shipping was CT to DE, so the shipping was what made me buy from them.

I got mine off ebay for $445 shipped to my door...i put them in last weekend with the maxspeeds and love it, havent driven it to much to get the full impression but from driving it for the hour or so i did it felt much better then stock, much less body roll and it really felt like it held the road and still rode pretty good...
