sprints- cut 1 coil in the rear to make even?

hi, it seems that most people who cut their sprint springs cut off 1 coil. i was just wondering if that will make my max even or because it will seat in the spring perch better. any info will be great. thx.

It will sit a little more even if cut because the spring will be shorter. My friend buss95max did it and it sits pretty much even when compared to my springs that are uncut.

Any difference in the ride in the back/handling? I was considering getting this done when I get my dustboots installed.

Cut one of the deal coils (the ones closest to each other) and it will sit fairly even. Still not perfect. Cut 4/3 or 1.5 coils and it will sit perfectly even... and verrrrry low.

Usually anytime you cut, it will not sit correctly in the seats and everytime you lift your car, you will need to reseat your springs while you lower it back down. Yes it's a pain.

well i have a question about that, i want to cut my stock springs like a inch until i get my agx's and some new springs, but i was woundering i would have to take off about one ring or so in the front but then i donno how much i have to take off in the back im afraid i will mess up and i dont want to keep cutting it and then putting it back on the car to see how it sits. would it be like 3/4 of a ring in the front and about 1 1/4 of a ring in the back.
