Maxima bounces

I got a problem with the front driver's side tire area. While driving, it bounces to a almost vibration. I don't know what the problem is but my friend said it might be a worn out bushing or something. There's some ice inside on the rim that might throw off the balancing but I doubt that's the problem. I was doing some drifting in the snow prior. YOu think that ****ed up the tire or suspension?

it's also pretty cold here. Around 0-30 degrees during the day and 0-10 avg during hte nights. Anyone have similar problems??

sounds like either really unbalanced wheel or a bent rim..

is it a vibration, or does the car continue to bounce after you hit an imperfection in the road (ie. a pothole)? If that's the case it could be a blown shock.

If not, then Nismo is prolly right, but it's hard to diagnose it without seeing/feeling it.

it's not a vibration, it's like a head nodding bounce. I chipped some of the snow off the rim and the bouncing lessened. I hope it's just the ice and snow that's unbalancing the tire. I don't think it's a blown shock because it's not related to potholes, just regular straight driving.

It could well be the ice on the rim that caused the vibration. Take the car to a car wash, make sure you choose the option that include spraying the bottom. That should get rid of all the ice stick to the rim -then drive around and see whther it make any difference.

Oh by far its the ice. Have you seen how small the weights are they use to balance wheels? Well think about how much ice weighs and what it does as far as throwing it off balance on the wheel. Ya gotta take all the ice off.

All righty, hopefully it's the ice. I was thinking the same thing about the lil weights they put on when balancing also. I would take it to the car wash but it's still snowing outside I would hate it if it was anything else.
