this really ticks me off
last week i went to oxygensensors.com and typed in 1996 Maxima SE.........bought 2 universal walker o2 sensors that were listed under my car........brought the car to a muffler place and went to pick up my car and they said that these were the wrong sensor's.........granted they were universal but if a product is listed under my car shouldn't it be able to fit my car???

^ well obviously i wasnt a genious like you.........i put in 1996 Nissan Maxima SE........the sensors were listed........now why the F*CK would they sell me something that doesnt fit my car and list it that way?????????????

Someone correct me if I am wrong but the universal ones require splicing the wires to work, or something along those lines. Just return them and get the OEM ones. There is not much of a price difference anyhow.
Oh, and curb the attitude.

Did a quick search, and yes the universal ones require splicing which is why the shop told you they don't fit.

Just as I thought.....oxygensensors.com's website shows that splicing is required for the universal sensors. Maybe you should do your homework before getting all worked up and blaming the company for something that was your fault.

The shop you went to is obviously a bunch of morons. The universal ones fit many cars but don't come with connectors. If you spent the extra $ and got the complete sensor you could've done the job yourself. Just so you know the o2 sensor after the CAT is different from the front 2.
