I am interested in getting a new muffler, but I do not want to spend a whole lot of cash. I have checked the past posts but I still would like to know what all you Maxima owners have. I would like to see what mufflers are satisfying you and what one's aren't. Thanks
Mark

I have a 95 gle also and still have the stock muffler on after 99,000 miles. It's been my experience w/other cars that you get what you pay for. Cheap muffler get cheap results. If you are planning on keeping the car until it dies I would suggest replacing the entire system for the cat back with stainless steel pipes and nissan muffler. Most people on this site are going for performance and I assume you are looking more for long life and quietness for as little as possible.

If you end up going w/a nissan muffler make sure you call around and get the cheapest price then go to your local dealer and they will probably sell it for close to what your lowest price was. Look in the back of a Car & Driver magazine or online for wholesale genuine nissan factory parts.

If there are better than nissan factory mufflers out there that are geared towards long life and quietness I would like to know also.
