Talking to yourself? Should've gotten it off EBAY, $91 shipped. So what if you have a trip tomorrow, doubt the gas to get there would cost you $80.

I swear to god there was another post there. Unless somebody put crack in my sub sandwich there was a post there. It has less to do with the gas and more to do with seeing the person who financed my max and showing I took care of it

true. Didn't think about it. It's ok though. The main salesguy from the delaership comes into Office Depot to buy computer stuff for the dealer a lot. I'll make sure I get him back

I'm sorry but you're blaming the dealership for your own ignorance. You bring it there to show them you take care of it??! Like someone said, you can pick up a KS on eBay for 90$ shipped, change it yourself for free and Voila. Dealership doesn't need to know anything.

$170, does that include labor? If so, it's not that bad at all.

170's not too bad. I paid $191. 91 for part from ebay and hundred dollar dinner for girlfriend with a scratched and bruised hand.

no, let me clarify. I paid $170 for the knock sensor itself. I am currently bleeding to death from trying to put it in. The fact that they wanted $270 for the service and knock sensor turned me off even worse. EDIT: The dealership was Rob Doll Nissan in Columbus Ga. Avoid them like the plague.

That is the average price from the dealer****, If you must have OEM from a Nissan Dealer, get it online through Jerry Rome Nissan @ 25% off for .org members.

My dealer charges $15 for an oil filter and $25 for a 300zx fuel filter. What a joke.

Umm, as said above, why don't you just return the part and buy it cheaply off the internet. you can go on a long trip and a tired knock sensor should not be an issue.

Knock sensor knews from the hotel room: Well, got it all put in. I have a massive cut going down my hand but thats ok. It was definately worth it. Gas mileage was better, the car had waaaaaaay better low-end torque and (seemingly) a smoother ride. I had to pay out the a$$ for the thing but my baby's worth it I'm even gonna give her a good wax when I get back to make up for cussing her out when I was putting the sensor in.
